General
Firstly thank you for taking part in this years Ross & Cromarty Citizens Advice Highland Gathering. The Citizens Advice Movement continues to come under ever increasing demand by a population who face increasingly difficult economic times, general uncertainty and confusion about the support and assistance they are able to access. This is why it is so important for us to form relationships and network with like minded organisations and groups so that we can provide a genuine quality of service on the front line. Your contribution at the Gathering will really help to increase the skills of our front line staff and help them to better understand the breadth of knowledge and assistance available from groups across Scotland and more specifically the Highlands.
Each breakout session on offer is one hour long. This may seem like a short period of time but the sessions are designed to offer taster or introductory information. Please feel free to distribute as much additional material as you wish throughout and at the end of your session as a supplement. All we ask is that you ensure that the session has some real application for the majority if not all of your audience.
Owing to the nature of the venue the breakout rooms vary in size and style. Each room will be equipped with a power point projector and screen but should you have any additional needs please let us know as soon as possible so that they might be addressed.
All speakers at the Highland Gathering are invited to attend the full day of training sessions, lunch and the chance to speak to all our exhibitors. If you are unable or would rather not attend the full day we would ask that where possible you endeavour to be at the Ben Wyvis Hotel no later than 20 minutes prior to your session. Each session will be introduced and chaired by a member of Ross & Cromarty Citizens Advice Bureau Staff, if you would like the chance to chat to them before the session please let us know and they will be asked to get in touch directly.
The reception for the Gathering can be found just on your entry to the hotel and will be staffed throughout the day. Upon your arrival please register at the desk and a member of staff will be happy to direct you and answer any questions that you have. If you find that you have last minute difficulties please contact Mary MacDonald either via email:- [email protected] by phone 01349 883333 prior to the 7th March - or through the Ben Wyvis Hotel 01997 423387 directly on the 7th March or on 07979930950
Thank you again for your participation, it is very much appreciated.
