Background
What is it all about...
Ross and Cromarty CAB hosted the first Highland Gathering in March 2010. The purpose of the event is to capture some of the training and networking opportunities that are more readily available within the central belt of Scotland for CAB advisers and other staff working within the Highlands.
The Gathering is now firmly established as a must attend event and has created a value for money event by reducing travel costs, increasing the number of volunteers and staff attending and developing stronger links with external agencies from both within and outwith the Highland region.
We have found that delegates enjoyed the event, the opportunity to learn and network with one another. In the years the event has run it has grown each time and continues to get 100% positive feedback from delegates as well as useful ideas about changes to make for the following year.
In many ways the Citizens Advice Highland Gathering is a great example of genuine partnership working and maximising return from financial and human resources invested by attending organisations.
“Very enjoyable day, would have hated to miss it.”
